After some hot temperatures (90+ degrees) this weekend, I realized we really need to get out and enjoy the springy weather before we launch right into HOT. After story time today, we went out and played the requested game of hopscotch "with lots of numbers. All the way to 21!.

Fashionista

Amelia has had opinions for quite some time now. It has been watching them develop along the way.

Most recently, clothes have been a source of great entertainment. On Friday, she wore : a diaper, 2 pairs of underwear, jeans with a pair of shorts over them, a long sleeved t shirt with a shirt sleeved shirt over it, 2 hats ("party hats mama), and her new cowboy boots to our weekly bible study. Despite my attempts to change her mind, she would not be swayed.

Sunday morning I got her dressed and it wasn't until I was helping her with her shoes on the way out the door that I noticed she had a tutu on under her pretty church dress. She probably would have insisted upon her boots as well. Good thing they were well put of sight at the moment! She insisted on wearing the tutu for the rest of the day - long after the church clothes were traded for play clothes!

Happy birthday baby girl!

My baby is 2! Not even a baby any more! She certainly is changing right in front of our eyes into a blonde haired, brown eyed fire craker!

To celebrate, we went out for lunch with Daddy and Amelia got a super special train ride with Daddy. This is a terrible picture, but the only one from her special treat!

A baby doll! Amelia LOVES baby dolls. Thankfully, this baby is named "baby". Her brother helpfully suggested naming the last babydoll "Fuga Fuga" and the name stuck. Cute? Not really. He suggested "Boo-ga Saruga" for this one, but was turned down.

One of her favorite gifts? This singing Minnie Mouse card. I finally had to hide it because....well, my sanity was at stake. I'll tell you, those cards really work for a LONG time - great value!

Another favorite: a dolly bed (that promptly fell apart, nice!)

Mobil

Last night we were sitting at a stoplight when a little voice in the backseat piped up "M.  O.   B.   1.    1.  ". Both John and I looked around.....what?   Then we noticed the Mobil sign on the corner.  Funny how kids notice all kinds of things we don't give a second glance.  Also funny how your kids all if a sudden know things you haven't taught them.
