Introducing...
Gemma Josephine! John and I finally reached a decision and turned in our paperwork. Naming a baby is a big decision!
Meeting baby sister
Here are the big kids meeting their baby sister for the first time yesterday morning! They were very gentle, sweet and excited! William was sure to remind us about washing hands and not to take "loud" pictures. Amelia couldn't stop giggling about how cute everything was- especially the sneezes!
Apologies for the cell phone pictures - we did take better pictures, but getting to them will take a while, so the cell phone ones will have to do.

It's a....
GIRL!
Baby girl arrived at 1:15am this morning after a little more than 2 hours of labor (which still hurt). She is a tiny peanut at 7 lbs 15 ozs and 21 1/4 inches long. In true John and Kelly style, we don't have a name finalized yet!

How I gave John a scare....
Tonight is soccer night, which means William comes home filthy. Typically, we throw both kids in the tub and scrub them up before depositing them into bed as quickly as possible. Tonight, I did the scrubbing and came out of the bathroom to assist with the teeth brushing, pajama-ing and to-bed-ing of the monkeys.
John took one look and said..."ummm... Is it time to go?" No, it was not time to go. William had completely soaked the lower front half of my body with the shower sprayer while I was washing him. It appeared as though I had wet my pants OR my water had broken.
No such luck- just a kiddo with a sprayer and bad aim (luck).
Sadly, the picture I took to document did not turn out at all, so you'll just have to use your imagination!

Grandparent's anniversary
Signature quilt!
This December my grandparents will celebrate 60 years of marriage. This is no small feat! This summer, we will be attending (I hope) a celebration in their honor. In place of a guest book, I have made them this signature quilt their guests will sign in permanent pens. Grandma provided me with color swatches to use and here is the finished product:

Crafty
The sewing room has seen a lot of action the last few weeks and months. I love new baby sewing projects! With both my sister and me expecting this has lead to a very extensive (self imposed) crafty load!
