Library!
Today was Gemma's first trip to the library! She celebrated by filling her pants like only a newborn can. Loudly.
Swing
We were at the park on Friday with grandma and grandpa the afternoon before our new baby would arrive. I was watching the kids play, my mom (grandma) was pushing the kids on the swing. The conversation went something like this:
Grandma: point your toes to the sky William! (encouraging him to pump his legs)
William: It really isn't the sky Grandma.
Grandma: ??? Oh???
William: It is really called the atmosphere.
Grandma : (tries to control the laughing) ok William!

Sweet baby
She was awake enough to chat with this morning and making faces! Don't let the innocent face and pose fool you. She had also just filled her pants. On my bed. And it wasn't the first time today. Q
Chatting with my baby
Daddy and the kids are taking Grandma to the airport and I'm left with a quiet house. Time to enjoy the moment with my new baby girl in her brief awake times.

Home!
We arrived home today with our new bundle of joy about 2:30. We could have spent another night in the hospital, but this mama was anxious for my own bed and to have my family around me!
A huge thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for their impeccable timing in arriving at our house just in time to take care of the big kids!

Introducing...
Gemma Josephine! John and I finally reached a decision and turned in our paperwork. Naming a baby is a big decision!
Meeting baby sister
Here are the big kids meeting their baby sister for the first time yesterday morning! They were very gentle, sweet and excited! William was sure to remind us about washing hands and not to take "loud" pictures. Amelia couldn't stop giggling about how cute everything was- especially the sneezes!
Apologies for the cell phone pictures - we did take better pictures, but getting to them will take a while, so the cell phone ones will have to do.
