Happy 4th!

Here we are at our town's 4th of July parade! It was just over a mile walk there and it was close to 95 degrees at 9am. The kids handled it very well, the grown ups not so much. I ended up taking Gemma home early- there just wasn't a good way to protect her from the heat. Daddy and the kids followed soon after. I don't think we saw the whole parade, but it was enough to check off my "summer to do list" the parade!

Dancing baby

Here is Gemma showing off one of her red, white, and blue outfits.

While looking at the pictures, I noticed baby girl has some pretty funny dance moves.

My matching girls

I always hated when my mom dressed my sister and I in matching clothes and I SWORE I would not do the same thing to my kids EVER.

Here is a message 33 years in the making: sorry I was such a pain mom!

Dressing my girls alike is so FUN! Even better, Amelia so far loves it too. I plan on dressing the same some of the time until one of them protests. Then, I promise to stop ( and start just coordinating their outfits instead.). I promise.

I also plan in documenting every moment of cuteness! Enjoy!

3 weeks + 3 days

Is the official first awake smile at Mama! It is also the first sign of the epic amounts of spit up our kids usually create. I can't ever remember when it starts - now I have a start date.

Niece #2

Here is the second set of pictures. First of Uncle Mike holding her and next of her holding her daddy's hand (also of importance: I made the blanket and dress in the second picture, although I didn't make the baby!)

Baby girl, my niece

I have to be careful here not to mix up pictures! Here are a series of pictures of my new niece (who doesn't have a name yet)

First with her big brother and next with her proud mama.

I'm an auntie!

Congratulations to my sister and her husband on the birth of their baby girl this morning. I'm sad we aren't closer - 2 girls 3 weeks apart sure would be fun!

Maybe sometime in the future? For the time being, I'll entertain myself with trying to figure out how to get there to get my hands on my new niece!
