9/24/10: Summer List 2010ed.

I know, I know. It is the end of September. Technically, summer has come and gone. But it is hard to remember that when the thermometer outside still reads in the upper 90's on a regular basis and our air conditioning is still working hard to keep us in the cool.

But! Here is my Top Ten List for Summer 2010:

1. See a parade with a marching band - Sadly, not accomplished. Not due to lack of trying on our part.

2. Swimming lessons for both kids - CHECK!

3. Camping with both kids - CHECK (in a cabin, still counts)

4. Trip to North Dakota/Minnesota: CHECK

5. Ride bikes to get Ice cream as a family: CHECK

6. Run through the sprinkler in the front yard. Even if your neighbors think you are crazy. CHECK. And, so what if I'm crazy?

7. Breakfast on the Farm: CHECK

8. Vacation Bible School: CHECK

9. Corn on the Cob: CHECK

9.5 Corn on the Cob while eaten outside in a chair with a cushion. CHECKITY CHECK.

10. Fireworks for the first time with William: Mostly a check, although John had to miss.

All in all, I'm ready for fall. I'm tired of the summer clothes and being Hot all the time. Do you hear that weather?
